Dreaming of summer

Not doing justice to Hawaii. ;) My second try with palms, but somehow managed to destroy this one completely. Liked it on half-way... looked quite soft and clear... but the palms needed structure...and ...and...
It's important to know when to stop painting, I red somewhere. Hopefully I learned my lesson. ;)

You may not be happy with the trees (and they are okay) but the rest of the scene is just wonderful!!!

Hi JOna! I didn't have your email addy to send you a reply -- my scanner is not very expensive -- it's a Hewlett-Packard, Scanjet #4370. It has the capability of scanning slided negatives, which I need to update much of my research done years ago. It does a decent enough job, though I find I often have to 'correct' the colors thru my Photoshop Elements program.

HTH!
